Following a lengthy break,  Adam Gowans recently hit the track again for Round 3 of the 2009 Aussie Racing Car Super Series on June 27/28. Competition led the team to Winton Raceway in country Victoria as part of the Shannons Nationals motor racing championships.  http://www.thenationals.com.au/story.asp?id=340.  Cold blustery and drizzly conditions greeted the team all weekend, providing difficult and challenging conditions.The highlight of the weekend was a race win in race 2, after qualifying 2^nd and finishing 2^nd is race 1. Races 3 and 4 proved more difficult managing 6^th in a reverse top ten grip, followed by 3^rd in race 3, collecting enough points to finish on the podium in 3^rd position for the round.  http://www.aussieracingcars.com.au/news_22.htm

Currently the team has consolidated 3^rd place in the championship following 3 rounds of 7, 5 points below the leader, and 14 points clear of 4^th.

The next round is at Sydney’s Eastern Creek Raceway on August 8/9 in support of the Australian Super Bike Championship.  http://www.asbk.com.au/
